The Truth About Healing
What does the truth have to do with health and healing? Everything! It is not just the sick that need healing. It's not just the hungry that needs food. Everyone needs health and healing just the same as everyone needs food. Freedom follows the truth just as bondage follows lies and falsehoods. There is no truth or freedom in sickness and disease; only bondage. We all need freedom from sickness and disease that comes to us from the truth about healing to keep us free from the bondages of sickness and disease. The truth about health and healing is the spiritual food we need to keep us free from the bondages of sickness and disease.

Do we even know the truths about health and healing? Do most of us even care? We should. The world teaches us to become "experts" in sickness and disease. We should beome "experts" in health and healing. We should know and memorise every scripture in the Bible about health and healing so we will know "the truth that will make us free". There is a lot of truth in the Bible about health and healing.

So,what is the truth about healing? The Bible says that "born again" believers were healed. (1 Peter 2:24) We are not healed because we look healed or feel healed. We are healed because the Word of God says we are healed. That is the truth. Do we believe the truth of the Word of God or do we believe what we see or feel?

Jesus provided healing for us all when He took the stripes upon His back. He provided salvation to all when He died for our sins. Not all will receive the healing Jesus has provided and not all will receive salvation for their sins even though it is the will of God. God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) Our healing is a spiritual issue more than a physical issue just the same as our salvation is a spiritual issue more than a physical issue. Everyone's healing has already been provided for just the same as their salvation has already been provided for.

Who We Are "In Christ"
We are saints. (1 Corinthians 1:2; Philippians 1:1; Colossians 1:2) “To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints…” (1 Corinthians 1:2 NKJV) “Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons…” (Philippians 1:1 NIV) “To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse…” (Colossians 1:2 NKJV) We are saints, if we have been "born again" by the Holy Spirit of God. Do we really believe this? We should. A saint, in a moral sense, means someone who is pure, sinless, upright and holy. Jesus made us saints. Is that the way we see ourselves? No, not always, but we should. Is that the way we see our brothers and sisters, “In Christ”? We should. That’s the way God sees us, not because of anything we did or didn’t do, but only because of what Jesus did for us.

I’m sure God is really grieved when He hears “believers” talk about how unworthy they are and what terrible sinners they are.  That must really be an insult to Him.  You would think that we, so called “believers”, don’t really believe, at least in what Jesus has already provided for us.  Are we still identifying with the past and walking in the flesh.  Are we still looking for a Savior?  Are we still hoping to be justified?  Are we still living in the past?  It’s as if Jesus died and rose again for nothing.  Are we in a sense, denying Him?

Sinners do not have access to God. They are separated from Him. Sinners can’t praise and worship and exalt and magnify God.  Sinners can not be thankful.  Sinners can only beg for mercy and forgiveness.  Sin binds us to the flesh and is full of death.  Sin keeps us in bondage.  Sinners are living in the past apart from God.  Faith is always present tense.  The just will always live by faith.  It doesn’t take any faith to be a sinner.

I’m not saying that we never sin because we do; we would only be deceiving ourselves and making God out to be a liar and His Word would not be in us. (1 John 1:8, 10)  I am saying that, I believe, we are not a sinners because of what we do (because our sins have already been dealt with).  I am saying we are saints because of what we believe, because of what Jesus did for us.  I don’t believe we can be sinners and saints at the same time. I don’t believe we can be unjustified and justified at the same time. I don’t believe we can put on the “new man” while still believing and identifying with the “old man”.  I don’t believe we can be “dead” and “alive” at the same time.  Is Jesus still dead?  By faith didn’t our “old man” die with Him? (Rom 6:3, 7) By faith didn’t God raise us up with Him? (Rom 6:8, 11) Or did God only resurrect the “Head” and not the “whole body”?  Aren’t we now citizens of heaven and seated with Christ there? (Phil 3:20; Eph 2:6)

Sinners are not saints and saints are not sinners. Sinners have no relationship with God. Saints are children of God. Believers are called to be Saints because they are one with the One who sanctified us. A saint is a “holy one” that is set apart for God to be exclusively His and to do His will. God employs the services of His Saints and His wages are superior and just. “He did this to prepare all God's people for the work of Christian service, in order to build up the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12 TEV)

Agape Word Study
"Agape" is the Greek word for Love. It is a pure love from God. It is God loving others through us. True "agape" love is not a feeling; it is a choice. We choose to love or we choose not to love. God gives us true "agape" love so we can share it with others. We cannot share what we don't have. We cannot give what we don't have. We must first receive true "agape" love from God through Jesus Christ and what He did for us. True "agape" love begins in the spiritual realm and then we bring it into the physical realm by speaking the truth in love.

Truth vs. Facts
We need to distinguish the difference between truth and facts in order to fully appreciate the historical accuracy of the Bible.
History and Science are based on facts and theories that can be proven and many times disproven. So, facts can and have changed throughout history. At one time in history people believed the earth to be flat. Evolution theories have constantly changed throughout history. Facts on health and medicine throughout history have changed. Facts of many technical developments have changed throughout history. Facts about people and events such as human achievements and even wars have changed. (Lance Armstrong, details of Viet Nam and Civil War events)

While the facts concerning any historical document can change with the discovery of new documents or evidences, the truths concerning the theology of God’s Word never changes and can be trusted, relied upon, and depended on for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction. (2 Timothy 3:16) Facts often change; the truth of God’s Word never changes. We cannot always trust in the facts of History or Science, but we can always trust in the theological truths of God’s Word.

Devotional Prayer
Heavenly Father, we love You. Help us to know the truth of Your Word and to walk in it as You will direct us. Father we want to know and abide in Your truth. May we always worship You in spirit and in truth. Help us to focus on and to magnify Your truth. Your Word is truth. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!

Truth vs. Reality
We must also distinguish truth from reality. A lot of people think that truth and reality are the same, but they are not. Reality many times is based on perceptions, assumptions, opinions, and observations. That is why we are supposed to walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7) Truth is not based on what we see or hear. Truth is based on the Word of God, period.

Reality is not always true. What is real to one person is not always real to another person. Reality is relative depending on the person and the situation. Reality is relative because it is based facts that many times change.

The truth is absolute because it is based on God’s Word that never changes. That’s why we can always trust the truth and rely upon it and depend on it, because it never changes. The truth is always true whether we believe it or not. Reality is not always true, so we can't always depend on it.

Think About it!
Truth is absolute. That is why we can always rely on it. We can
always trust it and
depend on the truth because the truth never changes.

Our Focus

We Magnify what we Focus on. We Exalt what we Magnify and we Submit to what we Exalt. If we continually focus on our problems and circumstances in the world they will only get bigger and we will subject ourselves more and more to them. We will submit to them and even "bow down" to them.

Satan is a spirit and he is the god of this world. He controls and manipulates this world and the things of this world. That is why we are not supposed to love the world or the things of this world. (1 John 2:15) In the world we continually face spiritual battles that we cannot possibly be victorious in in "the flesh". We can only win spiritual battles "in the Spirit and in truth" or "In Christ". We must abide or remain "In Christ" and allow His Words to remain in us. (John 15:7) Only the truth of God's Word can make us free from the spiritual battles that we face each and every day.

Let us not "bow down" to Satan and the ways of this world. Let us not "bow down" to sickness or poverty or any other bondage of the flesh or the circumstances and problems of this world. Let us continue to focus on Christ and who we are and what we have "In Him". Let us focus on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, and the truth of God's Word that can make us free. Remember we cannot be victorious fighting spiritual battles in "the flesh".

"Voice of Truth"
by Casting Crowns

Casting Crowns is a Grammy Award and Dove Award winning Contemporary Christian/Christian Rock band. Casting Crowns was started in 1999 by youth pastor Mark Hall at First First Baptist Church in Downtown Daytona Beach, Florida as part of a youth group. He now serves as a lead vocalist. Later they moved to Stockbridge, Georgia and more members joined creating the band now known as Casting Crowns. Some members of the band currently work as ministers for Eagles Landing First Baptist Church in Stockbridge, Georgia.

Christian rock group Casting Crowns began as a student worship band in Daytona Beach, FL, in 1999. Led by singer, songwriter, and youth pastor Mark Hall, the group initially included guitarists Juan DeVevo and Hector Cervantes and violinist Melodee DeVevo. The group relocated to Stockbridge, GA, in 2001, adding Chris Huffman on bass, Megan Garrett on keyboards and accordion, and drummer Andy Williams. This augmented version of Casting Crowns released two independent albums on CD, both of which were well received in the Atlanta area. Both independent albums were efforts on the part of Mark Hall and the rest of the group as outreach projects for youth in the area.

The group won the GMA regional songwriters competition at Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, Florida in both the "Best Song" and the "Best Artist" categories in 2004. Although the group was not searching for a record label, one of the group's albums found its way into the hands of Mark Miller, lead
singer for country group Sawyer Brown, who was struck by Casting Crowns' driving pop/rock style and Hall's vocal delivery of his hard-hitting but devout songs. Miller signed Casting Crowns to his fledgling Beach Street Records, a division of Reunion Records with distribution by the Provident Label Group, making Casting Crowns the first artist signed to Beach Street Records.

Why the Truth is Important
So, why is the truth so important to us? Without the truth everything would be relevant to anyone’s perception or circumstance or experience. There would be no true standard by which we could determine right and wrong. Bondage and chaos would rule. The truth matters. The truth matters for everyone. The truth is important for the whole world, even though the world cannot receive it. (John 14:17) The world is perishing and needs the truth to function with any kind of stability or sense of direction. That is what is wrong with the world that Satan rules; they have rejected the truth and lost their sense of direction. They are lost and perishing. They are in bondage because they have rejected the truth. Jesus came to us full of grace and truth. (John 1:14,17) He offers us grace, something we don’t deserve. And He offers us truth, something we desperately need for stability and direction in life.

People in America have been moving further and further away from God. We still have the greatest country in the world, but America is becoming more and more a part of this world and Satan is the god of this world. God is not obligated to bless any of the world's systems. We are at war with an unseen enemy that wants to destroy us. The Bible calls them principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual forces of evil. I call them "Spiritual Terrorists". They want to destroy our relationships with God and people. We don't have to remain victims to the spiritual "Terrorists of Our Souls". We can be victorious. In order to do the right things we must believe the right things and in order to believe the right things we must first know the right things. We must know who we are and what we have "In Christ" and we must become less focused on the things of this world and more focused on the Kingdom of God.

The Truth About Prosperity
What does the truth have to do with prosperity and finances? Everything! It is not just the poor that need to prosper. It's not just the hungry that needs food. Everyone needs  prosperity and well being just the same as everyone needs food. Freedom follows the truth just as bondage follows lies and falsehoods. There is no truth or freedom in poverty and lack; only bondage. We all need freedom from poverty that comes to us from the truth about prosperity to keep us free from the bondages of poverty and lack. The truth about prosperity, freedom, abundance, living, and life is the spiritual food we need to keep us free from the bondages of poverty and lack.

Do we even know the truths about prosperity and wealth? Do most of us even care? We should. The world teaches us to become "experts" in poverty, debt, bondage, and lack. We should beome "experts" in prosperity, charity, and finances. We should know and memorise every scripture in the Bible about prosperity and riches so we will know "the truth that will make us free". There is a lot of truth in the Bible about prosperity and finances.

So, what is the truth about prosperity? The truth is God wants us to prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers. Above all things. (3 John 2) It is God's will for us to prosper and He has made provision for it. The truth is God made Jesus heir of all things (Hebrews 1:2) and we are joint heirs with Jesus. (Romans 8:17) As children of God, we have resources. We are not poor. There is not poverty or lack "In Christ" or in the Kingdom of God. God loves His children and gives the best of everything to them. So why are many of us not experiencing it? God is not going to force anything on us. He is not going to just dump prosperity on us. He is not going to pour money out of Heaven. Maybe we don't believe prosperity is God's will or that He has made provision for it. Maybe we are acknowledging and walking in agreement with the ways of this world instead of God's ways of prosperity. Do we even know what God's Word says about prosperity? Maybe we haven't been willing to do what God's Word tells us to do to take advantage of the opportunities that He gives us. Maybe we don't even know what real prosperity is? Think about it!

What is prosperity? What is poverty? We know they are the complete opposite of each other, and therefore one must be good and one must be bad. Which is which? Common sense can answer that. Good is always good and bad is always bad. They never swap places. God is always good and is full of goodness. The devil is always bad and is full of evil. They never trade jobs. They never work with each other and they never work for each other. Think about it! God isn’t sometimes bad and the devil isn’t sometimes good. Many people don’t know this or believe this.

So, concerning poverty and prosperity, which is good and which is evil? Which is the will of God and which is the will of our enemy? Which is a good witness and which is a bad witness? Which one steals, kills and destroys and which one is a part of the abundant life that Jesus came to give? It doesn’t take a Bible scholar to figure that one out, yet many people are deceived on this very important issue. Prosperity is good and poverty is evil. It never changes. Poverty steals, kills, and destroys. Prosperity is a part of the abundant life that Jesus came to give. Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly”.  (John 10:10 NKJV) We can choose to live in the abundant life that Jesus gives or not. Our prosperity and security and well-being is "In Him"! The choice is ours!

Our prosperity is not in what we have, it is in what we give! God doesn't multiply what we hold on to. God multiplies what we let go of. God loves and blesses cheerful givers!

Wisdom Thoughts
What is truth? Truth is the standard by which we measure everything about life. It is the standard by which we measure everything about good and evil; heaven and hell; God and man. Truth is all about the Word of God. Truth is the foundation of who we are and everything we have "In Christ".

Truth is absolute. It never changes. It is always true, whether we believe it or not. The truth is the very foundation of all that God is as well as His Word to us. Truth gives the substance for our faith to work. That is why we can trust it and rely on it. We can depend on the truth that never changes because the truth is a moral and personal characteristic of God that never changes. We can always count on Him. He is “the God of truth” (Isaiah 65:16).

The psalmist declared, “Your law is truth” (Psalm 119:142), “all Your commandments are truth” (Psalm 119:151), and “the entirety of Your word is truth” (Psalm 119:160). Because of His perfect nature and will, God has to speak and act in truth; He cannot lie. (1 Samuel 15:29; Hebrews 6:18; James 1:17-18) If God were ever to lie then He could never be trusted. God is truth and always tells the truth. That is why we can always trust Him.

The Word of God or the expression of God was manifested in the flesh when Jesus was born, “the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14) That is why Jesus could boldly claim that He was "the truth". (John 14:6) Because He was full of truth. Jesus could never lie. If He ever lied He could never be trusted and therefore He could never be our Lord or Savior.

All Jesus said was true, because He always told the truth which He heard from God. (John 8:40) Jesus only did and said what He heard
His Father saying and saw His Father doing. “Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner”. (John 5:19 NKJV)

To Walk in Truth
Truth is a moral and personal characteristic of God.

The Word of God or the expression of God was manifested in the flesh when Jesus was born, “the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14) That is why He could boldly claim that He was "the truth". (John 14:6) Because He was full of truth. Jesus could never lie. If He ever lied He could never be trusted. All Jesus said was true, because He told the truth which He heard from God. (John 8:40) He promised His disciples that He would send “the Spirit of truth” (John 14:17; 15:26; 16:13) who is our Helper who would abide in us forever (John 14:16), testify about Jesus (John 15:26), guide us “into all truth” (John 16:13), and glorify Jesus (John 16:14).

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6 NKJV) Jesus and the inspired Word of God which the Spirit of truth gave us through Jesus and His apostles are the final, ultimate revelation and definition of truth about God, man, redemption, history, and the world. “For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:17 NKJV)

When we are Walking In Truth we are walking a steadfast or stabile walk. It is a consistent walk that doesn’t change with every circumstance and situation. We are in “tune” with God’s Word. The opposite of walking in truth is “Walking in Lies and Deception.” When we are not walking in truth, we are walking in bondage to the "liar and father of lies". We arewalking in agreement with the devil. Walking in truth is a freedom walk because the truth doesn’t change and only the truth can make us free. “32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free…36 So if the Son sets you free, you will indeed be free.” (John 8:32, 36 NLT) So walking in truth is a reliable, steadfast, stable walk that does not focus on the problems and circumstances in life, but a walk that focuses on the truth of God’s Word that makes us free. Walking in truth is walking in agreement with God.

4 I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. 5 And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. 6 This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it. (2 John 4-6 NKJV)
